Starting 12 August 2026, the EU Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR EU 2025/40) is fully enforced across all 27 EU member states. Unlike old packaging directives, PPWR is a unified mandatory law covering every package shipped to Europe, including outer cartons, foam inserts, plastic wire bags, adhesive tapes and printing inks.

• 2030 target: Packaging recyclability rate ≥70%.

3. 5 Green Design Principles Required by EU Guide
All packages must follow 5 circular design cores: Harmless, material-saving, space-saving, easy-to-recycle, reusable design. Overpackaging with excessive empty space is strictly banned (carton empty space ≤50%).
